How it works

This market will resolve to "Yes" for the individual who is the first new person to officially hold the office of United States Attorney General after the start of the second Trump administration, on or before January 20, 2029. All other outcomes will resolve to "No". For purposes of this market, only persons confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the position of Attorney General, or appointed via a "recess appointment," are eligible to resolve "Yes". Acting and Interim holders of the office are not included. A recess appointment will count even if it is later struck down or challenged. If no new person officially holds the office of Attorney General before January 20, 2029, all outcomes will resolve to "No". If the first new Attorney General is an individual not listed among the outcomes above, all listed outcomes will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the United States Department of Justice and the United States Senate.
